Actually – it is possible – it’s possible for any of us to approach each day with energy and motivation, confident that whatever is thrown our way, we can - not just survive, but thrive
We don’t just know this, we live it – during lockdown we created Progressfull™, a company designed to unlock personal progress and professional potential
During lockdown I became healthier, during lockdown I improved my relationships, during lockdown I survived single parent home education – and am still smiling!
Also… I am not smug, I am not saying it’s easy, and I am not saying I didn’t go through very tough times – just like everyone, because I did
The thing is I had Progressfull™ – and when I say I had Progressfull™, what I mean is – I had the tools and the key steps to take to make progress, to create a successful, progressfull mind-set - against the odds. Because I had the content, the practices, and the support I needed to keep making progress, I took the steps…
Let’s start with the steps - there are 3 steps to becoming progressfull. We introduce these steps throughout the content in our Upskills (our name for a course/masterclass), weave them into the practices, and give you the support to apply them in your daily life - at work, at home, in your whole life
The first step ...
...is to realise that we want to create change in our lives – when we say change, we mean significant change – for example going from feeling wonky and out of control of your life, to feeling like you are living your life on your own terms, no matter what life throws at you, feeling that life is working for you, not against you
The second step ...
...is creating your own direction, finding your own north star, your “true north” for your life. This gives you a sense of meaning, purpose, hope and fulfilment. With this clarity you can focus, you can put your energy and effort in the best places – so that you are independent, you are able to look after yourself and can enjoy, even relish the ride!
The third step ...
...is developing a regular practice of purposeful self-reflection – taking 10 minutes regularly to take stock of where you are, and where you want to get to, discovering new insights, mastering your actions, and tracking your achievements
There are many reasons to be progressfull, yet the most compelling in my view is that it is so easy to apply – finding 10 minutes on a regular basis to ‘sort yourself out’ and ‘set yourself up for a great day’ is totally doable for pretty much all of us – especially when the outcome is a success mind-set and a life full of progress!
For the first step - you don’t need anything apart from a desire to change, to progress, and to do something to help yourself
The second step - is to experience our transforming 5 Progressfull™ Principle Upskills (our name for a course/masterclass). The 5 Progressfull™ Principles define our “true north” our personal compass and give us a real sense of “where we are heading”
We reference the 5 Progressfull™ Principles as pp like on a letter - derived from the Latin 'procurare' meaning ‘to take care of'. The 5 Progressfull™ Principles are designed to help you take care of yourself
Each Progressfull™ Principle has associated practices. These practices are the basis for all regular, purposeful self-refection. We call these Progressfull™ practices as you can apply them moment by moment, step by step, day by day. They enable you to become more and more progressfull
Understanding where we are heading, understanding how we can support ourselves to progress, and understanding how we can hold ourselves back from progress - are the keys that unlock a life full of progress
You can experience the 5 Progressfull™ Principles practical step by step guides as either pre-recorded videos – like podcasts with pictures - or live sessions. We share insights, principles and practices to enlighten, inform and inspire you. This is the support we give you, this is the second step
The third step - is building your bench-strength in our transformational framework, the ARTT of progress™. The ARTT of progress™ is a purposeful self-reflection process and practice which turns your learning into commitments and actions. Enabling you to take your development into your own hands - unlocking your personal progress and professional potential
What’s more - this purposeful self-reflection only takes 10 minutes, so we literally Take 10 for the ARTT of progress
The ARTT of progress™ is the methodology or the approach that helps you to identify your insights (Assess), Relate them to your circumstances, personal motivation and personal benefits, then turn them into concrete commitments and practical actions you will 'put into practice' (Take action)
The extra T in ARTT is Take stock. This is part of the ARTT of progress™ and key in the Progressfull™ approach. Take stock happens in a number of ways and we will support you to build your bench-strength in each
Take 10 for the ARTT of Progress™ supports you after the Upskill by enabling you to easily incorporate an on-going practice of purposeful self-reflection into your life. This regular practice of Take 10 to reflect on your ARTT of Progress™, means you only need to find 10 minutes to benefit, discover new insights, master your actions and track your achievements…
“What’s my knowledge, what insights am I gaining, what have I learned about myself, where do I want to focus my efforts and energy? What do I want to do differently? What step can I take today? Thinking of my day ahead, what insights would be helpful for me to apply, what steps can I take?"...
...so we are moving away from the over indulgence of journaling and self-reflection to utilising journaling and self-reflection as a means to an end – the end is the step, is the progress is the Take action and the Take stock. This is why it’s only 10 minutes – not 11, not 15, simply 10 – it helps focus our mind on the important priorities for the day ahead
