For some of us, this year has been overwhelming

For some of us, this year has definitely been overwhelming - a lot of us are now looking towards 2022 not quite sure how and where we will find the positive energy to relish the ride which is no doubt still ahead

Wrung out and bone dry, exhausted with the constant uncertainty of what we can and can't do, what is and isn't dangerous for our friends and family, the blurring of lines between home and work, the loneliness and boredom of self-isolation, the mind-bending juggling of zoom calls with stressed colleagues and squabbling children

Stuck clinging on a pendulum, swinging wildly between overwhelm and scrabbling desperately for a 'secure new normal' - neither trusting authority (the parties were the final straw of hypocrisy) nor secure and confident in our ever changing daily routines

We are overwhelmed and burnt out because we feel so completely out of control of our lives

So for many of us, our way to take some of the control back - has been to quit. Relationships, jobs, projects, even quit being who we really are - yes, we are even dumbing down our own personalities, quitting being optimistic, fun and creative, becoming overwhelmed, flat and grey

So, overwhelmed, burnout, flat and grey - with our only solution being to quit everything which seems tough, tricky, or hard to sustain - do we actually solve the problem?

The thing is - who are we kidding?

We now know that this is a new reality we are facing, the pandemic is changing - not going away immediately the clocks strike 12 on 31st December 2021. People - whether new partners, leaders in government, in our current places of work or in potential new places of work - have always been and always will be - flawed human beings. There are no gurus with all the answers, clear and laid out neatly for us to feel calm and pacify ourselves with

If we truly want to stop feeling overwhelmed and start feeling calm, poised and resilient, no matter what we face - we have to do this ourselves. We do, in fact, have the choice to become self-resilient

The great news is we have some help

The great news is to help us do this,  Jo has identified 5 self-resilient mind-sets – mind-sets that help us navigate life's hard knocks, difficulties, missteps and mistakes so we can stop quitting, bounce back and Show Up - at work, at home, in our whole life

We not only share what these 5 self-resilient mind-sets are, but also how you can adopt and apply them to your own life, in our Showing Up Upskill (our name for course or masterclass)
