A Restricting practice is our term for beliefs, behaviours and mind-sets that drive, restrict or hold us back from progress
Restricting practices bring to the fore what restricts us, hinders us, holds us back and keeps us stuck as a passenger being driven around by life’s events and detours. Knowing about the Restricting practices (beliefs, behaviours, and mind-sets) enables us to unstrap or unlock ourself from the back seat, move to the driving seat, undo the clutch, and start to progress
In understanding these Restricting practices, you will start to recognise where you are strapped in and being a passenger so you can stop or redirect yourself
It is helpful for you to know that most of us hold these Restricting practices unconsciously. They are not something we deliberately set out to put into practice every day. In fact, it’s often only when the Restricting practices are revealed to us that we recognise we have been held captive by them. We can’t even recall when and why we choose to hold the belief, behave in that way, or hold this mind-set. That’s why they are restricting - they hold us back from being progressfull
